How to Buy Gold in Uganda
Step 1: Define What You Need
Product form (doré, bars, dust), quantity and purity requirement determine everything that follows - including which sellers are even relevant to your search.
Step 2: Verify the Seller
Before any introduction, we check the seller’s mineral dealer licence directly with Uganda’s Directorate of Geological Survey and Mines, not from the seller’s own description of it.
Step 3: Arrange Independent Assay
Purity varies by source and has to be measured, not assumed. We arrange testing through independent third-party laboratories - not our own facility and not the seller’s. See Assay Services.
Step 4: Complete Export Documentation
A legitimate export needs a mineral dealer’s licence, an export permit, and a certificate of origin from the Uganda National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, plus the relevant Uganda Revenue Authority clearance. See Export Documentation.
Step 5: Arrange Logistics
Most gold exported from Uganda moves through Entebbe International Airport. See Logistics Management.
What This Doesn’t Cover
This is not investment advice, and gold price movements are outside our control. What we can help with is verifying who you’re buying from and what you’re buying before you commit to a transaction.
